Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The room was surprisingly quiet despite being close to the MacDonald Bridge and came with a delicious breakfast, but it was smaller than expected for a 'deluxe king' room and a bit pricey for an older building. The service was excellent, with a helpful staff ready to assist, though some amenities like dry cleaning and laundry came at an additional cost. The location was ideal for our needs, being near the Angus McDonald Bridge leading to Halifax, but there were some challenges with parking fees. The dining experience, unfortunately, was not included in my rate, which was a downside, although the quality was good despite the additional cost.
The hotel overlooks the harbor, offering well-equipped rooms with excellent beds, large TV, safe, bar fridge, and coffee machine. While the room was modest-sized for the price, the deluxe king option felt a bit expensive for an older building, especially tight for families or more than two people.
I was given a smoker room initially but requested a change. The room was well-appointed and very clean, but noise from the hallway was quite audible. The hotel is conveniently located for trips to Halifax but the surrounding neighborhood is a bit rough.
The hotel is located in a prime spot, close to both downtown Halifax and downtown Dartmouth, making it convenient for exploration. The rooms are nice, spacious, and modern, although a microwave would have been a welcomed addition. The service was exceptional, with helpful staff across various departments, ensuring a pleasant stay. The dining experience was satisfactory, albeit limited due to the current circumstances. Overall, a great value for a comfortable stay in a fantastic location.
